FinkFl. rounded, 92mm wide; perianth segments very broadly ovate in outline, blunt to rounded at apex, mucronate, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping one-third; the inner segments more narrowly ovate, less prominently mucronate; corona bowl-shaped, smooth, mouth flared, ribbed, wavy and lobed, minutely crenate.
Named for 1st flower opening earlier for Southern California than any other Div. 2 ever experienced by hybridizer.— Has since been about 3 weeks later.—its normal time.
